Pre-Wedding Drinks
We invite you to join us to kick-off our wedding celebrations with some pre-wedding drinks on Friday 16th at 3PM. It’s a beach bar, so the dress code is really casual: swimsuit, dresses, anything you may feel comfortable in by the beach! We look forward to seeing you there!

What to do in Corfu
Palaiokastritsa
Located 35 minutes from downtown Corfu, Palaiokastritsa is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu (the most beautiful, in the bride’s opinion!). It’s definitely worth visiting. It’s also a good idea to rent boats to explore other harder-to-access beaches in the area, like Rovinia.
In the Palaiokastritsa area, we recommend the Akron beach bar to spend the day enjoying the beach. La Grotta Bar is another very Instagrammable spot that might be worth checking out (we haven’t visited it yet!).
Porto Timoni
Located 1 hour from the center of Corfu, Porto Timoni is a must-visit! Porto Timoni actually consists of two beaches – on one side is the beach that leads to the Ionian Sea, and on the other side is the beach that leads to the Adriatic Sea. Both beaches are beautiful, each with its own unique water color and temperature.
To access them, there are two options: take a hike of about 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your pace) starting from Afionas. The views arriving at Porto Timoni are incredible, but the path is steep and August is a hot month, so be prepared with water and sunscreen if you decide to take the hike. The other way to access the beach is by boat, departing from Agios Georgios beach. It’s definitely worth it for those who don’t want to hike and want to experience this amazing beach!
Corfu Old Town & Fortress
The Old Town of Corfu, where most guests will stay, is where you will find restaurants, small shops, and many beautiful little streets perfect for photos! Corfu, despite being a Greek island, has a long history of Venetian occupation, which is why the architecture in the center resembles Italy more than what is typically expected from Greek islands (in the Aegean) with their white houses and streets.
It’s worth strolling along the Liston, shopping in the streets of the center, and sitting in a small bar to watch the hustle and bustle. For those interested in history and monuments, visiting the fortress of Corfu is a must, where you can learn more about the island’s history and see for yourself how the city of Corfu functioned in ancient times.
Achilleion Palace
For those interested in history and monuments, the Achilleion palace is located 25 minutes from the center and it’s worth visiting! The palace was built for the empress Elizabeth of Austria and it’s a beautiful estate full of gardens, statues, art and history.

Boat Tour to Antipaxos & Paxos
For those who have more time to explore in Corfu, it is worth taking the boat trip from Corfu to the neighboring islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. The trip lasts all day (departing in the morning and returning at the end of the day) and passes by the paradise beaches of the neighboring islands and several blue caves. As you can see from the photos, the water is amazing!
Dress code
We chose this location to provide everyone with a memorable experience. However, we would like to request that all of our guests wear formal attire for the ceremony.
For men, we recommend wearing casual attire, which consists of a formal shirt and tailored trousers, with a blazer, or a light formal dress. The tie is optional and it is recommended to give preference to dress shoes.
For women, the tip is to invest in delicate fabrics that give a more sophisticated look to the production. Long and light dresses, floral or plain, as the event will take place in the middle of the European summer. The type of shoe is up to the guest, we only recommend that women look for heels that are not so thin due to the stone floor.
If you have any questions about the costume or need additional guidance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident about their appearance on this special day.
Accommodation Suggestions
We suggest staying in the city center if you want to be close to restaurants and shops. The center is a 16-minute drive from the wedding venue. Here are some hotels we recommend in Corfu town center:
Arcadion Hotel
Cavalieri Hotel
If you don’t care about staying in the center and are more interested in exploring different beaches and taking advantage of hotel amenities like the pool and spa, here are some options that are still close to the center but a little further out:
Kontokali bay resort & spa
We recommend comparing prices with those available on booking.com or hotels.com as they sometimes have discounts.

Visa
In 2025, Europe, more specifically the Schengen Area countries, will begin to require the ETIAS visa for all exempt countries. As the wedding takes place in 2024, this will not be a requirement for guests
In 2024, Brazilians will continue to not need a visa to enter the Schengen Area (of which Greece is part) and can stay in countries in the region for up to 90 days. For information about the countries that are part of Schengen: https://www.etiaseu.com.br/
